Yves Alliene Louissant, an 18 year old, arrived in October 1998 and stayed in the home of Bill and Patsy Kaeb.  Yves had damage to her heart due to rheumatic fever, which she had at the age of five.  She had a successful valve replacement and two valve repairs done in October.  Due to extensive damage, she still has some leaking in her heart valves and continues to see a cardiologist annually.  She returned to Haiti in January of 1999.  She now lives in Orlando, Florida with relatives.  Yves has flown to visit the Kaebs and her cardiologist annually since her surgery.  Yves is attending college in Orlando and hopes to study nursing.  The Kaebs keep close contact with her.  She is now 22 years old, and they love her like a daughter.
