Willy Fortune arrived in Peoria on October 6, 1999 and stayed with Dennis and Mary Beth Zimmerman.  Willy had heart surgery on November 9, 1999 and remained in the hospital for four and a half months due to complications.  Willy went to live with his dad in Boston, Massachusetts in August of 2000.  In April 2001 Willy chose to return to his homeland and his mother.  A poster on Willy's wall kept the Zimmerman's faith alive; Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."  God is faithful.
