Marie Michelle Mardi came to Peoria in October of 1999.  She was 18 years old and stayed with Bill and Patsy Kaeb.  She was suffering from congestive heart failure.  Surgery was done in October to repair a large hole in her heart.  Marie Michelle returned to Jacmel, Haiti in January of 2000.  The Kaebs have had little contact with her since her return to Haiti.
