Guito John Wagenbach arrived in Peoria in June 1997 when he was 15 months old and stayed in the home of Mark and Fern Wagenbach of Tremont.  Guito's heart surgery was minor and he recovered quickly to return to Haiti in September 1997.  Four months later in January of 1998, Mark and Dr. John Carroll went back to Haiti and searched for and found Guito .  He was in poor health once again due to malnutrition.  Thanks to the love, compassion, and determination of Dr. Carroll, Guito is back in the lives of the Wagenbach family forever.  In November 1998, Mark and Fern went to Haiti, returning with Guito as their adopted son.  He is now in Kindergarten.  "To God Be The Glory"
